Studio News: Bramble’s Cover Is Complete

I’m excited to share a little update from the studio. The front and back cover artwork for Bramble is now complete.

This feels like a big moment. Covers are often one of the last pieces to fall into place, and seeing Bramble fully wrapped in his story makes the book feel suddenly very real.

Bringing Bramble to Life

Bramble has been quietly taking shape over the past months, from early sketches and colour studies to finished illustrations and text. Completing the cover felt like pulling everything together – tone, mood, character, and setting – all in one place. As with Jasper, the aim has been to keep the artwork gentle and natural, inspired by real British wildlife and landscapes. Soft colours, calm expressions, and space to breathe are all important parts of how these stories are told.

Why the Cover Matters

For me, the cover isn’t just about how the book looks on a shelf. It’s about how it feels.

It’s the first glimpse into Bramble’s world. A quiet invitation rather than a loud introduction. I wanted it to reflect the same slow, nature-led storytelling found inside the pages, and to feel at home alongside the rest of the Wild Britain series.

Almost Ready

With the front and back cover now finished, Bramble is very nearly ready. There are just a few final steps to go – formatting, final checks, and preparing everything for print.

I’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes peeks soon, including snippets from inside the book and updates on when Bramble will be available.

Thank you, as always, for following along and supporting these stories as they grow.
