A Little Studio Milestone: Our First Book Is Out in the World

A few weeks ago, something very special happened here at the studio. My very first children’s book was launched and is now officially out in the world.

Jasper and the Spring Surprise is now available on Amazon, and even typing that still feels a little unreal.

This book has been quietly taking shape for a long time. What began as sketches, notes, and half-formed ideas at my desk slowly grew into a finished story, rooted in nature, seasons, and the small moments of wonder that children notice so naturally.

Seeing it finally printed, bound, and shared beyond my studio has been a real pinch-me moment.

The Loveliest Part? Hearing From Readers

One of the most unexpected, and genuinely emotional, parts of this launch has been hearing from people who’ve read the book with their children.

Messages about bedtime reads, favourite pages, and little ones asking questions about squirrels or seasons mean more than I can put into words. Knowing the story is being read, talked about, and enjoyed in family homes makes all the quiet hours of work feel incredibly worthwhile.

I’ve also been so grateful for the kind feedback and early reviews. As a first-time author, putting something so personal out there is both exciting and nerve-wracking, and the warmth of the response has been deeply encouraging.

Why This Book Matters to Me

At its heart, Jasper and the Spring Surprise isn’t just a story. It’s a celebration of the natural world and the gentle rhythms of the seasons. It’s also part of a wider aim for the studio: creating thoughtful children’s books that encourage curiosity, kindness, and a connection to nature.

Giving back is an important part of that too, which is why a portion of profits from the book supports local conservation charities.

What’s Next?

This feels like the beginning of something rather than a finished chapter. I’m already quietly working on what comes next, with more stories, more illustrations, and more ways to share nature-inspired creativity with children and families.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the studio so far, whether by buying the book, sharing kind words, or simply cheering from the sidelines. It truly means the world.
